The Merritt Dance Society is holding their Annual General Meeting on Sunday, October 5, 2025 at 2pm, at the Love To Dance Academy studio, 1976 Quilchena Avenue. The goal is to report on MDS efforts over the past year as well as to present new plans for the coming dance season. We continue to present a variety of dance genres, which is opening up opportunities for a wider range of community members to join our studio. We have a few members who have agreed to serve as new directors as well. We welcome everyone's input as we all work together to help our dance community move forward in the most positive direction possible. Please plan to attend.

The current Merritt Dance Society logo (pictured above "A") is the original logo created at the inception of this nonprofit society but we only have access to an image of this logo, not the actual original logo itself, which makes adjusting the logo to suit backgrounds or themes, for advertising as an example, challenging. At the 2024 MDS Annual General Meeting, four sample logos were proposed to update our dance society logo and one was voted the best option by the membership in attendance at this same meeting (see above "B"). For the upcoming 2025 AGM, we are now required to put the selected new logo to a vote by the membership to formally adopt the proposed updated logo.

Toni Stewart makes the motion, seconded by Susan Doncaster, to replace the original Merritt Dance Society logo (A) with the updated newly designed logo (B) pictured below for future use in all documentation, advertisement/marketing, and any and all other relevant uses where the society should be clearly identified.
